REPAIRS AND WARRANTY PROCEDURE


The Superfly 9.0 is a launch product in a brand new sport and we here at WakeKite® recognize that some warranty and repair issues will be part of the landscape. You, the early customer, are the real leaders in this charge as we'll all shape the kites of tomorrow. Thus, we are fully-committed to supporting you, the customer, in doing everything we can to keep you on the water and having fun. For this, we've set up a unique warranty and repair program that takes advantage of HO Sports strengths in customer service and combines it (in part) with a top-notch kite repair facility based out of Hood River, Oregon (kite Mecca).

To start this procedure, contact your local dealer or HO Sports Customer Service at 1-800-938-4040 to discuss your situation. It may be that your issue is solvable over the phone or via some direct assistance. Our goal is to get you back on the water as fast as humanly possible! If things aren't easily fixed without sending in your gear, then the dealer or HO Sports customer service will help you proceed further with the below instructions:

Submission of gear for repair and warranty issues is handled in one of two ways:
  • IF the issue is with the KITE it is handled by our partner, Airtime Kites (www.airtimekite.com), for repair or replacement. Airtime does the fastest and highest quality work in the business! Follow the below link to Airtime's website, where you can "Submit a Repair Ticket" via an online form that affords you a unique "Ticket Number." This ticket number, which you'll get e-mailed to you, will allow you to track the progress of your kite repair (much like a Fed Ex tracking number). NOTE: For something you feel should be covered by warranty, please note directly on the submission form in the box where you are asked to describe the kite's damage. Airtime will get your repair done very quickly.
  • IF the issue is with ANYTHING ELSE (handle, lines, pump, etc.) it is handled through your local WakeKite® dealer or HO Sports in Redmond, WA for repair or replacement. Please make sure to have the dealer or yourself call HO Sports Customer Service at 800-938-4646 to receive a Return Authorization # (RA). Then please print, fill out and send in the form with the part(s) you are seeking repair or warranty service on. Please make sure to document the RA # on the box and make it Attn: WakeKite®/Warranty (write WAKEKITE® in big letters).

Kite Repairs

Both HO Sports and its partner Airtime Kites:
  • Are ready to take care of you and get you back in action!
  • Work directly together in determining repair and warranty claims. All warranty claims will be evaluated by an authorized manufacturer's representative.
  • Have rush service available.
  • Will mirror (for free) the shipping method you select in sending in your product. In other words, if you ship something in via overnight mail, the facility receiving the item for repair or replacement will complete the work as fast as possible and return it to you via overnight mail. 2nd day air incoming, would receive 2nd day air return service, etc. *Please note on the submission form that you've mailed something at a certain rate and expect it returned the same way (especially if you are in a rush).

WARRANTY DESCRIPTION

The HO Sports Co. Inc. WakeKite™ Superfly 9.0 product warranties and obligations set forth below are in lieu of any other express warranties or obligations of its distributors or retailers. The warranties and limitations extend only to the original purchaser or the person for whom originally purchased for.

HO Sports Co. Inc., for period of (6) months from the date of purchase, will, at manufacturer's option, replace or repair any portion of the WakeKite® Superfly 9.0 product that is deemed defective in materials or workmanship. Damage due to misuse, abuse, modification or accidental damage is excluded…as is normal wear and tear.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Under no circumstances should any part of the WakeKite® product waxed, painted or altered in any way. Clean only with soap and water – rinse thoroughly. Allow drying before storage.

STORAGE

Bright colors will fade when subjected to prolonged sunlight exposure. THIS IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. To protect your WakeKite® system from ultraviolet rays of sunlight, store your WakeKite® in a bag when dry and not in use. Please contact HO Sports at any time with questions regarding any of our products.

LIMITATION OF REMEDY

During the WARRANTY period, HO Sports Co. Inc. will at its option either repair or replace defective parts. To obtain repair or replacement follow the directions above on how to start your WARRANTY claim. Some states do not allow limitations on how long a warranty lasts, and some states do not allow the exclusion of limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
